Description
A sausage roll made from Italian sausage, parsley, egg, and cheese, rolled up and baked. Great served anytime!
Ingredients
    The Sausage Bread
  • 1 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (Youi can make the dough by hand, but this is much faster!)
  • 7 oz Spicy Italian sausage (ground)
  • 1 cup Parmsean cheese
  • 1/2 cup Romano cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parsley
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup White onion
  • 1 tbsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • Other seasoning to taste (red pepper, oregano , etc.)
Instructions
  1. Making the roll
    1. Heat oven to 350.
    2. Saute the chopped onion and then garlic in olive oil until tender
3.Add the sausage to the mixture and saute till cooked. Remove from heat and let cool (5 minutes).
    4. Once cool, whisk the eggs and gradually stir into the mixture.
    5. Add the cheese (parmesan and romano), salt, parsley, and any other seasonings you want.
    6. Roll out the pizza dough.
    7. Spread the filling evenly across the sheet and roll up! Place the roll on a baking sheet (I use a baking sheet liner to keep it from sticking).
    8. Add small holes to the top of the roll to let out any steam and coat the roll with an egg wash.
    9. Bake at 350 for 30-50 minutes or until done (the bread is cooked through).
