Description

Theriac usually included a mix of roots, herbs, leaves, flowers, fruits/seeds, gums, oils, animal parts, and minerals. Many of the typical ingredients are now hard to find so the recipe I concocted stems from those that are readily avaiable. 

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Honey (Antioxidant, antibacterial)
  • 1 Bay leaf (A rich source of vitamin A, vitamin C, iron, potassium, calcium, and magnesium)
  • 1 Cinnamon stick (Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory)
  • 1 tbsp Ginger root (fresh) (Good for warding off germs)
  • 2 Sprig Lavender (Can help with anxiety)
  • 1 Fresh lemon, cut in half (Contains high amount of vitamin C, soluble fiber, and plant compounds)
  • 1 tbsp Cardamom (Antioxidant and diuretic Properties)
  • 2 Sprig thyme (Vitamin C and A rich)
  • 1/2 cup Apple-cider vinegar (Antimicrobial and antioxidant)
  • 2 cup Water
  • CBD tincture (In lieu of opium....)
Instructions
    1. Add all ingredients -except CBD- to a pot and bring to a boil.
    2. Boil for 15-30 minutes or until mixture has reduced by at least a third.
    3. Strain the mixture and add CBD.
    4. Let cool and enjoy!
